WORKSHOP: YOGA FOR INCARCERATED POPULATIONS

In The Service of Life: Teaching Yoga to Incarcerated Populations with Chandra Williams

Monday November 22nd, 2021
12pm-1:30pm PST | 3pm-4:30pm EST

Bringing yoga and embodied mindfulness practices to incarcerated people can be one of the most rewarding endeavors a person can undertake. It takes commitment, skill, and deep personal practice. Most people living in jails and prisons will eventually return to their communities.

In this workshop, learn why providing trauma-informed, mindfulness-based yoga to incarcerated people is important and how we can skillfully serve people who experience trauma and mental illness.

Bring a notebook and an open mind.
