Accessible Yoga Conference Online October, 2022: PURCHASE THE REPLAYS

Our biggest event of the year is our annual Accessible Yoga Conference Online.

Our 2022 conference was held October 14-16. If you missed the live event you can now purchase all of the session replays, with access for a whole year!

The theme for our 2022 conference is Moving from Me to We.

The last few years have shown us more than ever the importance of community and of collective care. As we continue to navigate the global pandemic, an ongoing onslaught of systemic and cultural harm against marginalized communities, and attacks on basic human rights and bodily autonomy across the globe, we as yoga teachers and practitioners know that our work—in community, is needed.

We’re thrilled to feature a diverse line-up of over 30 presenters—hosted by Anjali Rao and Jivana Heyman—who serve the collective in so many varied ways.

In rejection of the dominant culture of individualism, we come together to celebrate the significance of self and community care. In the face of injustice, we are co-creating and re-imagining our yoga community.

Beyond Inclusivity: Making Yoga Truly Accessible

A Free Pre-Conference Intensive

Join Ryan McGraw, Natalia Tabilo, Donna Noble, and Matthew Sanford for a free program focused on Moving Beyond Inclusivity, hosted by Jivana Heyman.

Inclusivity is a term that implies that one group holds the power, and they are generous enough to invite marginalized people to join them. But that doesn’t represent the shift in power dynamics that we need to make in order to build communities that are truly accessible and equitable.

In this 3-hour session, this diverse panel of yoga teachers with disabilities will discuss how to move our teaching beyond catchphrases and good intentions to making real change. Our panel will share their personal experiences, as well as their experiences teaching yoga, in an effort to unpack the ways that we can make our teaching truly accessible and welcoming.

Each panelist will also lead a short practice to demonstrate a variety of ways to make yoga available to all of your students. We’ll end with a Q&A so that attendees will have a chance to engage with the panelists and get their questions answered.
